I'm Jesse Sawyer, and I've spent 23 years turning data into decisions. I started at 19, programming CNC machines to make parts for major U.S. industrial customers, then worked as an engineering technician and quality lab supervisor. A colleague and I then built the first quality operation in China for the company we worked for, and over five years we expanded it across India, Taiwan and Vietnam, developing suppliers to serve U.S. customers.

At 29, I joined U.S. Army military intelligence and served as a signals intelligence analyst with the NSA in Hawaii, as the lead mission manager on a specialized mission. After nearly five years in military intelligence, I went back into industrial distribution, running supply chain and then business intelligence for a private equity owned distributor, giving sales, operations and leadership the data behind their decisions. I led the integration of two acquisitions, helped the business sell to another large private equity owned company, and spent the next three years positioning it for growth.

That's why I started Sygnify. We take the public record, like court rulings, regulator findings and company filings, and turn it into case files anyone can follow. No jargon. No 100-page reports. No telling you what to think. Just the record, the numbers and the page they came from, so you can see it for yourself.

The case files are also a way to show how to think about your own business. The questions we ask of the big companies, where the money comes from, where it leaks and which numbers matter, are the ones worth asking of yours.
